LÉ James Joyce rescues 155 migrants
The Irish Naval Vessel, James Joyce, has rescued 155 migrants off the coast of Libya.
25 migrants were rescued from a wooden vessel around 40 miles North West of Tripoli earlier this morning.
A further 130 people were picked-up from a rubber vessel during a follow up operation shortly after 7.15am.
A third search and rescue operation is currently underway.
The LÉ James Joyce left Haulbowline at the beginning of the month to assist in humanitarian search and rescue operations in the Mediterranean.
