Leeside Apartments Owners Issue Statement On Eviction

The company which owns Leeside Apartments has issued a statement on foot of Solidarity TD Mick Barry naming the apartment block in the Dail last evening where he claimed a mass "notice to quit" was issued to tenants.
Deputy Barry claimed that 70 tenants had received the notice to quit through the so-called "refurbishment loophole"
However Lugus Capital which acquired the building at the start of October says as part of their acquisition process, they carried out a full structural survey and fire safety inspection.
They say they're investing €3 million in refurbishment works at Leeside Apartments next month as they are currently not in complicane with their fire certificates...
The statement concludes that there are currently, only 23 residential tenancies at the apartment block and all residential tenants have been issued notices, with full notice periods corresponding to the length of their tenancy.
