LeisureWorld Set For A Revamp
€1.6 million is to be pumped into LeisureWorld in Bishopstown.
LeisureWorld, which is one of the biggest health and fitness facilities in the region, will fund the upgrades through a 20-year bank loan, but because the council owns the asset, the bank requires the council to underwrite the loan.
€500,000 is to be spent on the installation of a new gym along with upgrades to the changing room area and new surfaces on the astroturf pitches
