Lidl To Open 50 New Irish Stores

Lidl says it plans to open up to 50 more stores across Ireland.

The German retailer says an investment of 700 million euro would bring the total number of shops in the Republic to 200 in the next five years.

 

It opens its latest store in Portmarnock in north County Dublin today.

 

The retailer has also announced its trialling self-service checkouts at its outlet in Athy, County Kildare.
