Local authority make another application for emergency funding
Cork County Council made the application for flood damage repairs.
A third application for emergency funding to carry out repairs following flooding had been made by Cork County Council.
It's emerged that the local authority is seeking a further €156,000 following storm damage in recent months.
The council has already received some payment from the emergency government fund and are waiting for just over 1.4 million euro in total.
It follows the news that Cork City Council is one of three local authorities nationwide that has yet to receive any funding payment to deal with storm damage.
Speaking to RedFM News, Jer Buckley from the National Flood Forum says the government need to do more to address the fallout from flooding.
