Local Residents opposed to M28 motorway claim quality of life will be dimished

A lobby group opposed to the proposed new Ringaskiddy motorway claim that the quality of life will be diminished for residents living along the route.
The M28 Steering Group say the draft Environmental Impact Statement shows that noise levels will quadruple in places in Rochestown due to the removal of trees to facilitate road widening works.
Up to 500 locals in the area have lodged submissions opposing the planned route of the M28 from the Jack Lynch Tunnel to Ringaskiddy..
They've expressed their concerns in relation to road safety, traffic congestion and noise pollution.
