Long delays reported at the ED at the Mercy University Hospital

Listeners are advised to contact their GP or South Doc due to the delays

The Mercy University Hospital has appealed to the public to contact their GPs or South Doc as they're experiencing a surge in patients presenting at the hospital's Emergency Department.

The hospital has implemented its escalation policy to deal with the exceptionally high number of attendees at the Emergency Department and are advising patients that they're likely to experience long delays.

The public are reminded that South Doc is an option for those seeking medical attention outside of working hours.
