Long term youth unemployment continuing to rise across Cork

The National Youth Council of Ireland who say almost 1,500 young people across the county have been unemployed for six months or more.
It comes as the youth advocacy group have called on the Government to implement the EU Youth Guarantee Programme which guarantees a work, education and training opportunities to any young person unemployed for four months or more.
Despite a promise to implement the scheme four years ago, the Government has yet to do so.
Speaking to RedFM News Deputy Director for the NYCI James Doorley says the issue must be addressed in the Budget:
