Long Waiting Times For Gynaecologist Linked To Recruitment & Retention Crisis
That's according to Dr. Rhona Mahony, a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist
29,152 women were waiting at the end of May - a 4.4 percent increase compared to the same time last year.
Despite the number of women on the gynaecology outpatient list at Cork University Maternity Hospital falling from over 3,600 to 1,500 between May 2018 and May 2019, consultants at CUMH are still saying that they're still struggling to meet timelines for a large number cases
