Lord Mayor expects timeline on Events Centre by end of month

The Lord Mayor says he's expecting developers to present a timeline for the construction of the Events Centre when they meet at the end of this month.
Concern has been expressed about the future of the €50 million development in recent months as construction has yet to take place on the site of the former Beamish & Crawford site.
The internal design plan for the facility, which it's believed has caused significant delay, has been completed and it's hoped a date for construction will be given at a meeting between the stakeholders on February 20th.
Speaking to RedFM News Lord Mayor Cllr Des Cahill says he's glad he wasn't in any of the photos of the sod turning event a year ago, but he's hopeful the project will get off the ground:
