Lord Mayor Opens Book Of Condolences For Victims of Las Vegas Shooting

The Lord Mayor of Cork says Emergency Services have a plan in place to deal with any Las Vegas type incident in the city.
Cllr Tony Fitzgerald made the comments at the opening of a Book of Condolences at the City Hall this afternoon for those who lost family members in the mass shooting.
64 year old Stephen Paddock opened fire on a open air concert on the Las Vegas strip, killing 59 people and injuring 515.
The Lord Mayor says while an attack of that sort here may be unlikely, the Gardai and Emergency Services in Cork are in no way complacent in measures being taken to respond to any threat.
Speaking to RedFM News Lord Mayor Cllr Tony Fitzgerald says his thoughts and prayers are with the people of Las Vegas.:
Two Books of Condolence will remain open in the City and County Hall for the next two weeks.
