Lord Mayor says there should be no reduction in Local Property Tax

The Lord Mayor says there should be no reduction to the local property tax in next year's budget.
Lord Mayor Cllr Des Cahill says the council will have difficulty balancing next year's budget if the current level of tax isn't maintained.
The city’s Local Property Tax is due to be debated next Monday when the council reconvenes and both the Anti-Austerity Alliance and Sinn Féin have already called for a 15% cut.
However speaking on the Neil Prendeville Show on Cork's RedFM Lord Mayor Cllr Des Cahill says a cut to the local property tax won't greatly benefit anyone:
