Lower Lee Relief Scheme To Be Discussed In City Hall Tonight
The Impact of the Lower Lee Flood Relief Scheme, will be discussed at a public meeting in the City Hall this evening.
It follows concerns about the impact the €140 million plans could have on the frontage of the Quay Walls and the impact this would have on the heritage of the city centre.
The Office of Public Works announced that the deadline for making a submission on the project has been extended to the 7th of April, to ensure all public consultation is considered before the work begins.
Representatives from the Save Cork City Group, ARUP Engineers and the Office of Public Works will be in attendance, and a question and answer session will be moderated by the Lord Mayor Des Cahill.
