MABS advise people to start planning for Christmas
The Money Advice and Budgeting Service is advising people to start making financial plans in the run up to Christmas 2016.
The service in Cork says every year it encounters people who over spend and they're warning people that a short-term loan can lead to long-term debt.
MABS is also advising people to think beyond Christmas when money worries may worsen.
Speaking to RedFM News Margaret O'Neill of Cork Mabs says thinking about the months that follow the festive season is very important:
