Mahon Point Shopping Centre Accused Of Passing Their Traffic Chaos On To Local Residents

It follows heavy congestion at the centre over Christmas
Mahon Point Shopping Centre has been accused of passing on their traffic chaos to residents in the area..
The accusation follows long traffic delays at the centre over Christmas which led to a sensor controlled bus gate being left open to the flow of traffic leaving the shopping centre
Residents say the gate was installed to facilitate the 202 bus service, but claim that it has been left open at times over Christmas, leading to traffic congestion in neighbouring housing estates.
Speaking to RedFM News Local resident and former city councillor Chris O’Leary says it's high time Centre management develop a sustainable traffic plan to manage the congestion
