Major rescue operation takes place in Myrtleville
Three people were winched to safety following a major rescue operation near Myrtleville yesterday evening.
The Coast Guard rescue helicopter, Rescue 117 and Crosshaven RNLI were called to the incident at the base of cliffs between Church Bay and Fennels Bays at 6:20pm where 3 people had been cut off by the tide..
One person was taken to Cork University Hospital as a precaution.
However, all are said to be in good health.
