Major seizure of cash at Cork Airport

€60,000 in cash has been seized by revenue officers at Cork Airport.
The discovery was made yesterday morning when officers stopped and searched a man as part of routine profiling.
The man in his 50's was travelling to Poland.
The cash was found hidden in a suitcase by Revenue detector dog Eva.
Revenue officers seized the cash and suspect it could be linked to criminal activity.
A three month detention order was granted at Cork District court today to allow Revenue to investigate further.
