Man (29) has appeared in court charged with murdering his girlfriend in north Dublin

24 year old Jennifer Poole was stabbed to death at her home in Finglas on Saturday.
Jennifer Poole, a mother of two young children, was stabbed at her home in Melville Drive in Finglas at around 2pm on Saturday.
She was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead a short time later.
This morning her boyfriend Gavin Murphy of Coultry Drive in Ballymun appeared before Blanchardstown District Court charged with her murder.
The court heard the 29 year old made no reply when he was charged just after midnight at Finglas Garda Station.
His solicitor said his client intends to apply for bail in the High Court once he’s completed his 14 days in prison of mandatory quarantine due to Covid-19.
The accused was granted free legal aid as he’s not working.
He’s been remanded in custody to appear before Cloverhill District Court , via video link, on Friday.
