Man (30s) charged following a robbery in the city
Gardaí on patrol in the city centre received a report of a possible robbery in progress and found a man struggling with a woman on Grand Parade moments later.
The man fled the scene when he saw Gardaí and was arrested on North Main Street following a foot chase.
He was brought to the Bridewell Garda Station and is due to appear in court on May 26th.
The woman was not injured during the incident.
