Man and woman arrested at a checkpoint in Cobh
Gardai found €5,000 worth of cannabis in the boot of the car they were travelling in.
The pair were stopped during a routine patrol in Ticknock at around 9:30pm last night.
The man in his late teens and woman in her 30s were arrested at the scene and brought to Cobh Garda Station.
The man has since been charged and is due to appear before Mallow District Court next month while the woman was released pending a file to the DPP.
The suspected drugs will now be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.
