Man arrested and charged in connection with a robbery of a female in Cork city

The incident occurred at around 7 o'clock Saturday evening on the Western Road.
Gardai responded to the call that the victim had just been robbed and two suspects had fled the scene in a car.
The vehicle was later stopped by Gardai close to where the robbery occurred.
Two men in their 30s were arrested and detained at the Bridewell Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
One of the men was charged and had appeared before Cork City District Court today.
The other man was released without charge.
