Man dies in house fall in West Cork
Gardai and the Health and Safety Authority are due to launch separate investigations following the death of a man in an accident in West Cork on Wednesday afternoon.
The accident happened around 2.30pm when a 71-year-old man fell off the roof of a house that he was powerwashing in the centre of Enniskeane.
The man was pronounced dead and his body has been removed for a post-mortem examination at Cork University Hospital to establish the exact cause of death.
Gardai have described the man’s death as a tragic accident and they will now prepare a file on the matter for an inquest at the West Cork Coroner’s Court later this year
