Man dies in Youghal Crash

One man is dead following a crash in Youghal. The single vehicle collision happened in the early hours of this morning. A car left the road and hit a ditch at Kennelworth in Youghal some time between 00.30am and 3.20am. The 27-year old male driver was pronounced dead at the scene. His body has been removed to Cork University Hospital. The road is currently closed for a Forensic Collision examination and diversions are in place. Gardaí at Youghal are investigating and are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the crash or who was in the area to contact them on 024 - 92200 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1-800-666-111
