Man due in court after €27k drugs seizure in the city

The man was arrested at around 6,30pm on Saturday after members of the Cork City Divisional Drugs Squad found seven ounces of heroin.
A 30-year-old Somalian man is due in court tomorrow after he was arrested and questioned about a €27,000 drugs seizure in the city over the weekend.
The man was arrested at around 6,30pm on Saturday after members of the Cork City Divisional Drugs Squad found seven ounces of heroin during the search of a flat on the Lower Glanmire Road.
The man was arrested under drugs trafficking legislation, and was taken to Mayfield Garda Station.
He was questioned for over six hours before he was charged in connection with drug offences and released on station bail to appear at Cork District Court.
