Man found with serious head injuries in city centre

Gardai in Cork are investigating the discovery of a man with serious head injuries in the city centre in the early hours of this morning.
The 49 year old was found on Travers Street at around 2:40 am and was taken to Cork University Hospital where his injuries are described as serious.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone who may have been on Travers St. around that time to contact them in Anglesea St on 021 4522000.
