Man In Cork Convicted Of Assault On Daughter

The man denied the charges but was convicted on both counts

 

The 46 year old was seen slapping his daughter in a shopping centre by two women who feared for the child's safety and reported him to the gardai.

The man denied the assault charges saying that he never hit or struck his daughter and produced a report from a GP which stated that the child had no injuries when she was examined just days after the alleged incident

The man was convicted of two counts of assault today at Cork District Court and was fined 700 euro
