Man Killed in Cork Road Crash

A man in 60s has been killed in a road crash in east Cork. Emergency services remain at the scene and the road will be closed for some time. Emergency services were alerted to the scene just before 12 o'clock this afternoon. It's understood that two cars were involved in a head on collision at Harper's Island after a car was travelling on the dual carrige-way in the wrong direction. The east-bound lane between Carrigtwohill and Little Island is currently closed and traffic is being diverted through Glounthaune. Gardai, ambulance and fire personnel are at the scene.
