Man Rescued From The Water At Sandycove Yesterday has Died

The man in his 60's was pronounced dead at CUH after being airlifted from the scene
The man rescued from the water at Sandycove Beach yesterday evening has died.
The man in his 60's was pronounced dead at Cork University Hospital after being airlifted from the scene
Members of the public noticed the man was in difficulty and pulled him from the water at around 6pm
It's understood the man had a pre-existing heart condition and had recently moved back to the area from Malta.
Gardaí are investigating his death and a post mortem examination is scheduled for today.
