Many homes across Cork still without power
It follows the rain and wind warnings for the area issued by Met Éireann.
The ESB hopes to have power restored to the 460 homes and businesses which were knocked off the power grid in Cork by Storm Jonas by this afternoon.
The worst affected areas are in Cork county with the 460 across 20 different fault locations with the larger outages in Mitchelstown, Bantry and Donaghmore as a result of the high winds and heavy rain.
Two yellow weather warnings are in effect as Storm Jonas which hit the US last weekend makes landfall in Ireland.
Coastal counties along the South Coast are among the worst affected - and many areas are on high alert for flooding.
Speaking to Cork's RedFM Jim Hernan of the ESB says repairs crews have been out working to restore power to people since early morning and he outlines the worst hit areas.
