Mary Nolan Hickey Heads For Crosshaven On Day 89 Of Her Lap of the Map

65 year-old Mary is running a Lap of the Map for the RNLI Ireland
An Arklow woman who is running a Lap of the Map is in Cork having completed over 1300 miles of her challenge in aid of the RNLI
At the age of 65, Mary Nolan Hickey is marking her 50th year in athletics by setting herself a challenge to run and walk around the coast of Ireland in aid of RNLI Ireland.
Mary has completed all 38 Dublin Marathons, but On News Year's Day Mary began running around the entire coast of the island of Ireland, in aid of the brave men and women on the RNLI who risk their lives to save people at sea..
She has already spent 88 days on the road in the harshest of weathers and has travelled the equivalent of over 49 marathons so far
Speaking to RedFM News Mary says the challenge is very tough both phycially and mentally but it beats working
