Meat Industry Ireland Says It Is Willing To Resume Discussions With Farmers

That's once blockades at its processing facilities are lifted.
However, it says the issue of price cannot be negotiated.
Farmers resumed pickets outside factory gates this week, after previous talks broke down.
Here in Cork, farmers protesting outside the ABP Plant in Bandon met with the Minister for Agriculture Michael Creed yesterday, along with representatives of the Beef Plan Movement.
It's believed the Minister confirmed to farmers that he is unable to discuss beef prices, but will assist in any organisation that is in a position to do so.
The protestors in Bandon have agreed to suspend their protest at the gates tomorrow when Chinese veterinary inspectors visit the plant.
