Mental Health Of Some Musicians Devastated By Continued Shutdown Of Entertainment Industry

That's according to musician and owner of the Cork based band J90, Ed McCarthy
The Music & Entertainment Association of Ireland say that live entertainment has been largely closed for nearly 500 days.
Speaking to RedFM News, Ed McCarthy of J90 says that for entertainers, their work is a vocation and, without it, they are left with a massive hole in their lives:
"The two main aspects of this that has just been so overwhelming. That’s financially and mental health. It's just been devastating on both. As a musician, we're born to perform. It's not as if this is just a job, it's not just a business; it's so much more than that. We're born to do this. For that to be taken away from us has been an absolutely massive blow. It's been a complete knockout. When you strip all that away, there's a massive hole left inside."
