Michael Healy Rae says Green party holding Government to ransom on climate change

The Green Party is holding the Government to ransom on climate change, according to an Independent TD.
Michael Healy Rae believes the Climate Action Bill will disadvantage rural Ireland, farmers and those suffering from fuel poverty.
The new legislation, which was passed in the Dail last night, aims to reach carbon neutrality by 2050.
But Deputy Healy Rae feels others will suffer to keep the Greens happy.
"The political reality is when Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil wanted them and needed them they had to have them if they were to get the reigns of power.
"The cost of getting the reigns of power is that they must dance to Eamonn Ryan and the Green Party's tune.
"And not only did they dance last night, they turned themselves around in such convulsions to line in behind them they were going to agree to whatever they wanted."
