Minister Launches "Young Knocknaheeny" Programme Leeside

Minister of State Kathleen Lynch is in Hollyhill this afternoon to launch a new area based childhood programme, which is the first of its kind Leeside.

'Young Knocknaheeny' is a community approach of prevention aimed at improving outcomes for children.

It comes as phase one of the €200 million Cork North West Quarter Regeneration Plan got underway in Knocknaheeny in August.

The plan involves the demolition of existing houses and rebuilding of new properties in the area as well as the development of a social and community facilities.
