Mixed reaction to new 'drink link' scheme

There's been a mixed reaction to a new state-funded scheme which will enable pub-goers in 50 rural communities nationwide to avail of a bus to transport them to and from the pub.
The so-called 'drink link' is set to be announced this week by Transport Minister Shane Ross.
It's reported the service will operate between 6-11pm mainly on weekends and will service routes such as Kinsale to Clonakilty, Rockchapel to Meelin and Banteer at weekends.

The measure has come under fire with some critical of the amount of tax payers money being spent on ferrying people to and from the pub.
