More Cork Flood Victims set to sue ESB

More Cork flood victims are set to take action against the ESB following 2009 floods.
Following a public meeting last night, a further 20 residents in the Mardyke area are to take immediate action against the ESB in relation to the state agencies operation of two of its dams on the river Lee.
This brings the total to over 100 residents who are now lodging a claim for significant damage to their homes and businesses in the area.
The Commercial Court ruled earlier in October that the ESB were 60% liable for flooding damage to UCC and this judgement has given many householders the confidence to take a case as some are still dealing with the aftermath of the floods.
Speaking to RedFM News spokesman for the Mardyke residents Barry Keane says more people are starting the processes to make a claim:
