More flooding predicted

More flooding is expected in the coming days as Met Eireann predicts thundery downpours in the south of the country. Flash flooding hit parts of the city yesterday morning with the Lower Glanmire Road, Penrose Wharf, Carrigrohane Straight, North Road, Sunvalley Drive and Boyce's Street all affected. A number of businesses in Midleton were left counting the cost again last week when flood waters damaged their properties for a second summer in a row. Cork East TD David Stanton has been in touch with Cork County Council, which is investigating the most recent flooding in Midleton. (Click above to hear David Stanton talking to Fiona Donnelly)
