More jobs announced for Cork
There's more good news on the jobs front for Cork as 80 new positions are being created at a software company in West Cork. Global Shares in Clonakilty is launching a three year expansion plan and it expects its workforce to double in that time. Meanwhile further job creation for the region is also on the cards as an enterprise plan is being put in place for the South-West region. It comes ahead of a number of major projects planned Leeside including the redevelopment of the former Capitol cinema site, the revamp of Merchants Quay shopping centre, the development of a number of office blocks inluding One Albert Quay and a 180 bed hotel. Speaking on the Neil Prendeville Show Jobs Minister Richard Bruton says funding is being made available to ensure job creation is top priority in the region. Click the PLAY button to hear.
