More than €100 million is expected to be spent by Irish people today as part of Black Friday Sales.
Leeside retailers are gearing up for one of the busiest shopping days of the year with many opening early this morning to facilitate early bird bargain hunters.
The initiative - which we have adopted from the US - marks the start of the Christmas shopping season for many local businesses.
Retail Ireland says Black Friday sales are now a necessity for retailers if they want to attract customers ahead of the festive season.
