Mother of two describes moment her partner was shot at Cork inquest

The inquest into the death of Gerald 'Topper Staunton' was held today.

A mother of two told the inquest into her partner's death how she was holding her daughter in her arms when he was shot dead in front of her by a lone gunman outside their home in Wilton six years ago.
 
Karen Quilligan O'Flynn told how her partner, Gerald 'Topper Staunton'  had put her other daughter in the back seat of his car and was about to get into the driver's seat - when she heard someone running outside their house at West Lawn, Wilton in Cork at 8pm on January 20th 2010.
