Motorists facing delays on Cork roads

Gardaí are advising road users to exercise care as rain is forecast.
A spate of road traffic incidents across the city this evening is causing major delays for motorists.
The Midleton to Cork city road was the scene of a 14 car collision shorlty after 3pm.
The crash happened on the N25 inbound, around 600 metres on the city side of the Cobh interchange.
Emergency services responded to the scene but there are no serious injuries reported.
Gardaí say the road has only reopened within the last half hour and motorists can expect delays.
There is a collision at the Jack Lynch Tunnel heading Westbound which is causing delays.
A number of separate collisions took place on the M8 Cork to Dublin road with Southbound between Junction 12 and 13 remaining closed.
Another incident at Junction 13 has been reported in the last half hour.
Gardaí say incidents in the South Ring Road and Wilton Road have been cleared.
They are advising motorists to slow down and allow distance from the vehicle in front as heavy rain and hail showers are forecast.
