Murder Investigation Launched In Cork
Gardaí have launched a murder investigation after a 36 year woman was found dead at her home following a fire in Co Cork on Sunday morning. Investigating officers arrested a man in connection with the incident last night. The 36-year-old mother of three was found dead in an upstairs bedroom of her home in Pembroke Crescent in Passage West at around 1 o'clock on Sunday morning. Her three children aged 12,11 and 9 years were not in the house at the time of the fire. The State Pathologist Professor Marie Cassidy carried out a post mortem examination on the woman's body yesterday at Cork University Hospital. A man in his 30's was arrested by Gardai last night. He's being held at Togher Garda station under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
