Mussel continues to scupper county development plans
The presence of the mussel has delyed works.
Elements of the Cork County Development plan are in limbo as the presence of an endangered creature remains in the River Blackwater.
Concerns have been expressed over the rate of progress in tackling the freshwater pearl mussel which brought parts of the plan to a halt last year.
