The shortest General Election campaign in recent history came to a close yesterday.

Voters are going to the Polls today as the shortest General Election campaign in recent history came to a close yesterday.. 

Just three weeks ago the Taoiseach Enda Kenny advised the President to dissolve the 31st Dail and to summon the new Dail on Thursday the 10th of March.. 

The political parties immediately swung into electon mode and campaigning began in earnest which saw candidates knocking on doors around the country and in particualr in the five constituencies here in Cork...
