National Bus & Rail Union Optimistic About Avoiding Bus Eireann Strike

The National Bus and Rail Union say they're not optimistic, ahead of talks aimed at averting the strike at Bus Eireann.

The Workplace Relations Commission has invited unions and the company to separate talks to see if there's room for a resolution.

The NBRU and SIPTU are opposed to the company's cost-cutting plan, which will see the reduction of staff pay and bonuses.
