Nearly 10,000 Patients Stuck In Hospital In 2019 Despite Being Well Enough To Be Discharged
New figures show 218,000 hospital bed days were lost from January to November because of delayed discharges.
This takes place when a patient no longer needs treatment in a hospital but does not have access to appropriate post-hospital care.
