New Bishop For Cork & Ross
Monsignor Fintan Gavin was ordained yesterday
Monsignor Fintan Gavin has been ordained as Bishop of Cork & Ross.
Originally from north Dublin, 53 year old Father Gavin has been a priest since 1991.
Prior to becoming Bishop, he served as the Chancellor of the Archdiocese of Dublin and also ministered in our Lady of Victories Parish, Dublin
There have been only been four bishops in Cork since 1916, and this is the first ordination in Cork and Ross since 1984.
