New 'Botel' Given Planning Permission On River Lee

Planning permission has been granted for Ireland's first floating hotel by Cork City Council.
The Irish Examiner reports the "botel" will be located at Penrose Quay next to the Michael Collins Bridge and is expected to open its doors by Christmas.
Dublin-based Sick and Sore Ltd have been granted planning for a period of three years, after which the company will have to reapply for retention.
The 105m, three deck river cruiser with 96 cabins is currently in the Netherlands, and will undergo a €1 million euro refit over the coming months.
