New Developments Set For Cobh To Cater For Increase In Cruise Liners

A new €15m deep-water quay is in the pipeline in Cobh in a bid to cater for the increasing number of large cruise liners expected to arrive in the town.

According to today's Irish Examiner The Port of Cork has already taken bookings for the arrival of 66 liners in the harbour next year, that number looks set to increase.

170,000 passengers will arrive on the ships which represents a potential boost to the local economy of €12 million.
