New figures show house prices rising across Cork

The average house price in Cork city has risen by 2% in last three months.
That figure stands at 4.8% in the county where the price of the average three-bed semi is €142,500. The equivalent house in Cork city is €311,000.
It's hoped the easing of The Central Bank lending rules and the Help-to-Buy Scheme will help first-time buyers to overcome difficulties purchasing new homes however it's feared difficulties will still remain for the second-hand purchaser in relation to the 20% deposit requirement over €220,000.
Speaking to RedFM News spokesperson for Real Estate Alliance Healy Hynes says construction of new houses will help to bring prices down but that solution won't be immediate:
